Other Ways to Give

Gifts of Stock
Invest in NJP and our feline friends with your gift of stocks, bonds, or mutual fund shares. You’ll receive a charitable income tax deduction for the full market value, and you’ll avoid capital gains tax on the appreciation of the securities. Please contact NJP for more information at information@northernjaguarproject.org.

Workplace Giving
Many companies encourage their employees to donate to tax exempt 501(c)3 charities by offering to match donations made by their employees. This is an excellent way to extend the impact of your donation toward our wildlife work. All you have to do is mail your company’s matching gift form with your contribution to NJP, and we’ll do the rest.

Legacy Gifts
By including NJP as a beneficiary in your will, you can make a gift as part of your estate plan that will help provide for the conservation of jaguars and their habitat for generations to come. With any donation related to your will, living trust, or other form of bequest, you may wish to consult your attorney or tax advisor. We will be happy to respond to any questions that you or your advisors may have.

You can also name NJP as a beneficiary for all or part of the value of your IRA, 401(k), 403(b), or other qualified pension plan. The proceeds of these plans are distributed outside probate and are entirely free from federal estate tax.

If you own a life insurance policy that is no longer needed for the protection of your family or for other purposes, you may use it to make a gift to NJP. The simplest way to give a life insurance policy is to name NJP as the beneficiary of the policy. Your estate would be entitled to an estate tax deduction equal to the value of the policy.
